AMH — Ovarian reserve
Typical range for age 30: 1.5 – 4.0 ng/mL · PCOS range: often 3.0 – 10.0+
Your AMH is significantly above the typical range, which on its own might seem like good news — but in the context of PCOS, a high AMH is expected and reflects a large pool of small antral follicles rather than exceptional fertility. It does not mean your eggs are higher quality, and it does mean you may be at higher risk for ovarian hyperstimulation (OHSS) if you pursue IVF stimulation.
Because you selected PCOS: your RE will likely use a gentler stimulation protocol and monitor you closely for OHSS. Make sure they know your AMH before any stimulation cycle.
